What age did you start putting your baby in the restaurant high chairs?
Mine is 6 months and sits fine in a highchair at home but was not sure about the wooden restaurant high chairs.

it's fine. basically the same thing
around 5-6 months. It's fine to do it at 6 months.
as soon as they know how to sit up just make sure they are buckled...:)
My daughter is 10 months old and I started putting her on the restaurant high chair at 7 months. But I think your baby would do just fine. Try it and if your baby sits fine, then why not.
when they where able to sit without help.
my son was about 5 1/2 motnhs but i put a receiving blanket behind him since he was still a little wobbley
I hate those restaurant chairs, he always seems to chew on the handle and the backs are high enough for him to sit comfortably. I bring my 6 month old in his stroller. It has a tray and any restaurant that can accommodate wheelchairs, can accommodate his stroller.
They sound old enough although I would highly recommend getting a high chair cover to put on them. Restraunt highchairs aren't cleaned often so I would buy a cover to take with you and put on highchairs and shopping carts. They sell them at tons of baby stores and it is the best way to keep your child safe.
Our son had his first experience in a restaurant highchair at six months. We have a BuggyBagg that we still use most of the time, since even at one year, we find that although he fits in pretty well, it keeps him from being super squirmy while he eats.
