What kind of sofas/chairs will stand up to kids and pets the best?
Toddlers and spoiled dogs make for terrible furniture palls. We are in the market for new living room furniture and would like to know what would stand up the best and what is the best value for the price. I'd ask the people at the store but, sales people=pressure and higher prices.

I don't have kids but do have four very spoiled dogs and the next time I'm able to get a new couch I'm heading to IKEA. They have all kinds of sofas and other living room furniture that come with slip covers. They're not only a great way to change the feel of the room, but they will keep the furniture looking great. They're stylish-you don't look at them and think "eewww, slip covers" at all but you can whip them off and wash them up, although you do need to make sure you're getting machine washable and not dry clean only. I'd get two sets that you can alternate, and stay away from anything chenille because it seems to attract snags.
